Brandcliff House pupil to compete at Commonwealth Judo Championship

Tyla Stacey-Hale continues to excel in judo as she looks forward to the Gqeberha competition.

Tyla Stacey-Hale, a Grade 10 learner at Brandcliff House in Fairland, participated in the South African Judo Championships recently where she won a gold medal in her group.
In July, she was invited to represent South Africa at the Africa Games in Madagascar. Unfortunately, her passport did not come through in time so she was unable to participate.

“Despite that setback, Tyla will represent South Africa at the upcoming Commonwealth Judo Championships in Gqeberha, and the entire school body is behind her in wishing her all the very best of luck,” says principal Jonathan Linde.

Tyla has also been awarded the prestigious national Protea colours for judo.
