BRIXTON – Local talented dancer Brandon Ka Madiba aims to help individuals realise that dancing is a fun form of fitness..
Local talent Brandon Ka Madiba is helping hopeful individuals to dance their way back into shape.
The dancer hosts dancing lessons every Monday and Friday at the Brixton Recreational Centre.
“I specialise in modern dance, contemporary, house and hip-hop and afro fusion and I teach people for free,” he said.
“This is my passion, all I want to do is to get people into shape through dancing,” Ka Madiba added.
“I have noticed that a lot of people dread going to the gym, however, they can get the results just by making their way into the dancing class and toning up.
“This is just for fun and to teach people the skills that I have acquired through years of dancing.”
Ka Madiba also said when people are fit they live longer. “I once danced for actress and fitness guru Khabonina Qubeka and now I am just flying solo and teaching people what I have learned.”
Through the dancing sessions, Ka Madiba is able to teach individuals how to meditate and do yoga.
The Eastern Cape-born lad is not only a dancer, but has also appeared on the SABC drama Room Nine. He has also competed in a famous dance show called Turn It Out.
“I want residents to come and join the dance classes because they will really enjoy it a lot,” advised the Choreographer.
He also highlighted that the dancing moves will help with body toning and dance techniques.
