Two Grammy nominations for Ladysmith Black Mambazo
JOBURG – Another stellar achievement by local male chorus group.
Legendary music group, Ladysmith Black Mambazo has once again been recognised on the world stage with the group receiving two Grammy nominations.
Their album Shaka Zulu Revisited: 30th Anniversary Celebration received a nomination in the best world music album category, while Songs Of Peace & Love For Kids & Parents Around The World received a nomination in the best children’s album category.
No strangers to excellence and brilliance, the male chorus group became the first South African group to walk away with a Grammy Award in 1987. Since then, the group has been nominated 17 times and has bagged three more Grammy Awards.
