Giving hope to cancer survivors

They also had the chance to check their blood pressure and sugar levels

Restoring hope was the aim when hundreds of people gathered to take part in the ‘CanSA Relay for Life’ at Forderville Primary School yesterday (September 9).

The participants were there to help raise funds for the Cancer Association of South Africa (CanSA), as well as show love and support to those who have survived this deadly disease.

On the first day of the event, different organisations, fund-raisers and businesses conveyed words of encouragement and support to cancer survivors, who also received gifts.

The relay participants walked around the field, holding up placards bearing messages of encouragement.
