Celebrating 88 years of selfless love

Bhagavan Sri Sathya Sai Baba’s birthday was celebrated on Saturday, November 23 and the day commenced at 6.30am with a blissful hawan ceremony.

In keeping in that joyous spirit, devotes set out to start preparing for the day ahead.

Sumptuous birthday cakes and meals were prepared with utmost love and care for the beloved Lord, while the hall was decorated with amazing colours of orange, green and white .

Finally, it was that time of the day for the celebrations to begin, the hall slowly filled up with members from the community and dearest devotees from as far as Mooi River and Ladysmith.

Dances and birthday songs were performed by the children of Sri Sathya Sai Education in human values (SSEHV) commonly known as balvikas.

The programmed ended with a talk on Swami’s life and his teachings, not forgetting a message to youth ,who Bagawan Sri Sathya Sai mentioned are ‘the future leaders’.

Scrumptious vegetarian meals and parsad consisting of Swami’s birthday cake was served.
