THE SUPPORT the Lions Club of Vryheid gets from the community at its fund-raising projects, allows the club to give back to the community. On Saturday, February 1, the Lions gave back to the Hlobane Child Care Centre. The Lions fired up the braais so that the tantalising smell of braaiing wors had over 120 little tummies grumbling before they were given a worsroll, and sweets and a juice, and in addition each child was given a stationery pack. In turn, the children entertained the Lions members with a display of dancing. All this was made possible by the support that the Lions Club received from the people of Vryheid and the surrounding area at the Mayfair last year. The Lions will again host the Mayfair this year on May 9/10, up at Cecil Emmett Park.
