Kilian Academy – Blue belts for Beukes and Venter

THIS past week saw two of the Kilian Academy students being awarded their blue belts in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.

Chris Venter and Charl Beukes were awarded their blue belts by Neil Thompson, guest instructor from the United States of America.

“Both Chris [Venter] and Charl [Beukes] demonstrated their skill and heart with excellent performances over the weekend.” stated Neil Thompson.

Abrie Kilian, head instructor at the academy, is excited with the advancement of both Venter and Beukes.

“We are looking forward to promoting BJJ in Vryheid in 2015 and hope to see more people in our community train BJJ.”

The academy will open early January 2015 in preparation for the 2015 South African BJJ and kickboxing circuit.
