Monthly mug winners go down swinging

BARRY HERTZOG – Golfers were undeterred as they braced the cool weather at the Supertech BMW Monthly Mug (Medal) Competition at Newcastle Golf Club last Saturday.

Men and women competed in each category respectively and the cream of the crop stood out.

Karel Swanepoel scooped first place in the men’s division with 71 points, while Jenny Darvall took no prisoners in her pursuit of winning the women’s division with a total of 77 points.
