A golf day that ‘spurred’ players on

The annual golf gathering has brought many players to the Country Club

The annual Battlefields Easter golf festival teed off yesterday with Battle Creek Spur sponsoring the day in which players competed.

Danie van Mollendorff and Willie Maritz took the honours with

49 points followed by H Ayob and YC Ebrahim on 47 points.

Bertie Venter, Gerrie Marais and their team from Spur, Dundee, made sure that everyone was entertained and the day finished with a supper prepared by Stanley of the club.  The golf action continues today with the Flamepro Day and tomorrow, the OK Value Day.
