SPORTS: Golfers grace the fairways with skill

When the day's festivities were over, golfers enjoyed delicious boerewors rolls and light finger snacks, followed by a cold drink or two during the much anticipated prize giving.

Graceway Newcastle proudly hosted a fun-filled Better Ball Golf Day at the Kilbarchan Golf Club on Saturday, September 9.

Golfers from Newcastle and surrounding areas flocked to the green’s to tee off in full swing for the charitable event.

With sunny skies, a cool breeze and delightful companions, golfers took to the fairways to show off their golfing skills.

When the day’s festivities were over, golfers enjoyed delicious boerewors rolls and light finger snacks, followed by a cold drink or two during the much anticipated prize giving.

There the boys found out who had the best round of the day.

The day’s results were as follows:

First place – Pumlani Mbhele and Petros Nofomela,

Second place – Lewyn Schnuir and M. du Toit,

Third place – Almero Roux Snr and Mike Swart,

Fourth place – Roy Abbot and Steven Garner,

Fifth place – Sias Weyers and Lukas Meyer

Sixth place – Almero Roux Jnr and Mike Millen
