GALLERY: Golfers endure a windy round on the fairways
Friday, February 2 saw the golfers participate in the Sundowner five hole IPS Competition where Dries Els would scoop first place with 12 points.
Strong winds and chilly weather conditions were not enough to keep avid golfing enthusiasts from enjoying a round of golf on the greens over the past weekend.
Friday, February 2 saw the golfers participate in the Sundowner five hole IPS Competition where Dries Els would scoop first place with 12 points.
Following in a close second was Ebert Koorts with a score of 11 points onco.
In third place, with 11 points onco was Tony Sharp.
Golfers then endured another round of golf on Saturday, February to participate in the Newcastle Golf Club Sponsored IPS Competition.
After the day drew to an end, the players got together and the winners were announced as follows:
Hansie Alberts came in first with 39 points, followed by Elred Darvall with 37.
Leon Pienaar took third place with 37 points onco, while Brandt van der Berg finished in fourth place with 34 points, leaving Johnny Saunders in fifth place with 34 points onco.
Well done to all participants!
