Bowlers take aim at the jack at bi-annual competition

The bi-annual sponsored competition pitted a total of 12 teams from Newcastle and Volksrust against one another in friendly competition.

Ideal weather conditions on Saturday (April 7), made it possible for a competitive game at the Ncandu Bowling Club.

The bi-annual sponsored competition pitted a total of 12 teams from Newcastle and Volksrust against one another in friendly competition.

Players started at 9am, with teams from Ncandu Bowling Club ending the day as the winner and also runner up.

In third was a team from Newcastle Bowling Club, while fourth place went to a team from Volksrust Bowling Club.

Newcastle Bowling Club also claimed fifth place.
