SPORT: 3rd Newcastle Scouts Group hit a hole in one
The day was organised as a fund-raiser with proceeds going toward the 3rd Newcastle Scout Group.
On April 14, golfers from all over Newcastle gathered for a day of friendly sponsored competition at the Newcastle Golf Club.
According to Linda Gale of the 3rd Newcastle Scout Group, who were the sponsors of the event, the day was a smashing success with around 60 golfers competing.

At the end of the day the results were as follows:
1. Willy Clayton/Uppies Upton (47 points onco)
2. Pierre Uys/Leon Rothman (47 points onco)
3. Ryno de Vos/Ebert Koorts (46 points)
4. Louis du Plessis/Johan Delport (45 points)
5. Elred & Jenny Darvall (44 points).
