Minette Janse van Vuuren of St Dominics Newcastle, along with Ruan Jansen van Vuuren and Rhuben Nortje of Ferrum High School, will participate at the championship in a 25-metre length pool.

They will join swimmers from across the country at this event.

Coach, Grace Filipe said these young swimmers have shown determination and dedication by training throughout the school holidays in sometimes icy conditions.

However, she has shown as much commitment.

Minette, Ruan and Rhuben all three extended their appreciation to their coach, and were eager to show off the fruits of their training.

“A dream doesn’t become a reality through magic; it takes sweat, determination and hard work – Colin Powell. We would like to wish them all of the best!” said Aqua Adrenaline management.
