SPORT: Newcastle golfers get into the spring of it
Barry Glutz was the competition winner with an individual total of 42 points, with a four-way tie for second to fifth positions on 38 points.
Golfers felt the buzz at Newcastle Golf Club on Saturday.
A good field of players arrived at the course on a bright and sunny morning, to compete in the annual Newcastle Golf Club Spring Sponsored Competition.
The format of play was IPS.

Barry Glutz was the competition winner with an individual total of 42 points, with a four-way tie for second to fifth positions on 38 points.
After a count out, George Meyer clinched second.
Third position went to Robbie Niemann, with Jenny Darvall in fourth and Lionel Phillips in fifth as a result of the count out.
