PHOTOS: Fantastic year of darts concludes on a high note in Estcourt

Members, supported by family, made their way to Club Las Vegas in Shepstone Avenue for an evening of accolades and camaraderie

Another successful year was acknowledged when the Umtshezi Darts Association held its annual prize giving last  Saturday.

A Division winners: Rajen Goodoon (first), Hemraj Jhekarran, represented by his daughter Shovanna, (third) and Viren Mungru (second).

Members, supported by family, made their way to Club Las Vegas in Shepstone Avenue for an evening of accolades and camaraderie.

B Division winners: Roshan Boros (third), Dharshan Anandparsad (first) and Pradeep Ramsaran (second).

2018 was described by the association’s Chairman Alan Anandparsad as a ‘fantastic year of darts’ with the sponsored competition raising R3 000, which is also extended to local charities.

The ladies team: Meena Ramsaran (fifth), Jenny Balliraj (fourth), Nelosha Ramsaran (third), Tylean Pillay (second) and Natasha (Tash) Mungru (first).

The presentation started with trophies and medals being awarded to darts players who were victorious during the year’s sponsored competitions. Thereafter the much-anticipated handing over of the trophies for league games followed.

Most 180’s scored: Vikesh, Viren Mungru and Rajen Goodoon. Awards presented by Mr Rajcoomar.

Applause and cheers were the order of the evening as the winners received their prizes.

Mr Rajcoomar presents Viren Mungru with a prize for highest closing (170).
