Oval Track pumps up the adrenaline

What is the best aspect of motorsport and Oval Track in particular?

Newcastle Oval Track has a bumper 2019 planned. This is according to club representative Zaakira Khan, who outlined some of the thrills and attractions which keep drawing in the crowds on Saturday evenings like the one just past.

Q: What is the best aspect of motorsport and Oval Track in particular?

A: “The love and passion for the sport and the friends you make along the way – the adrenaline rush which comes while racing is an indescribable feeling.”

Zaakira says with Oval Track in particular, drivers are taught skills as the handling of a racing car is totally different when compared to straight track driving or even day-to-day driving. “It’s that element of the unexpected which also appeals to spectators.

“I think lots of our regular spectators keep coming back for the action. Each race event is unique in its own way because you just never know what to expect.”

Zaakira explains there is always something ‘different and exciting’ watching the competitors battle it out on the track, and many spectators have their favourite car or driver whom they support.

Yet Oval Track is also a place for quality time, for friends and family.

“For all the avid racing enthusiasts, I think oval is the best and is a very safe type of motorsport, in a controlled environment.

“Dirt track oval in particular is very different and enjoyable; it teaches you a lot and makes you an even better driver on and off the track.”
