Vintage vehicles on fine display

Ahead of the club’s fourth decade of existence (18 June), members put on an exhibition of vintage and modern cars at the Majuba Lodge on Saturday.

It’s been a fine 40 years for the Old Hooters Club.

Ahead of the club’s fourth decade of existence (18 June), members put on an exhibition of vintage and modern cars at the Majuba Lodge on Saturday.

These vehicles were a physical representation of automotive history.

Residents could view these impressive cars and interact with their proud owners, learning more about the machines and what makes them tick.

“The event went very well,” said club chairman, Eddie Honeyball. “We had many visitors and also had guests who helped found the club back in 1979.”

The evening’s festivities also included a visit from representatives of the South African Veteran and Vintage Association (SAVVA).
