St Dominics celebrates 135 years of treasured history
Performers moved guests to tears during a heartfelt journey through St Dominic’s rich 135 year history.
St Dominics Newcastle celebrated 135 years of rich history during its annual Supper Theatre Evening on Friday, May 15.
Guests were left teary-eyed as learners took them on an emotional journey through the school’s past, with one memorable performance after another.

A journey home through music and memories
This year’s production, titled Home Again, drew inspiration from The Greatest Showman and wove its music into the story of St Dominics.
The energetic performances had audience members tapping their feet, clapping their hands and singing along as the school reflected on the people and moments that have shaped its legacy over the past 135 years.
The school thanked guests for joining in the celebration of its rich cultural heritage and the story that remains close to its heart.

More than just a school
“This school is so much more than just a building,” said Executive Head, Shirley McGhee.
“It is a beacon of light in our community; the dedicated teachers who have inspired young minds with knowledge and care, the enthusiastic learners who blossom into their dreams, and the timeless values we hold so dearly in our hearts.”
McGhee also expressed gratitude to everyone who helped bring the production to life.
“We are truly grateful to everyone who played a part in making this production possible and helping us find our way home again,” concluded McGhee.
