Junior Eleven FC from Burford has won the Nomgwenya Security Men’s Regional League for season 2023/24.
They defeated Lacoster FC 4-1 in their final game to secure the championship title.
League runners-up Young Elephant, all the way from Estcourt, did not make it easy for Junior Eleven and were a thorn in their side throughout the season, all the way up to the thrilling finale.

It has been a roller-coaster ride to the end of the season, with a single point separating the top two teams.
However, things changed on Sunday, May 5, when Young Elephant dropped crucial points after playing to a 1-1 draw with Natal Witness.
The season ended with Junior Eleven sitting on top with 72 points and Young Elephant in second with 69.
