Parkrun volunteers step out in pink for the first time

No matter where their barcodes take them, they can ‘think pink’ as parkrun volunteers

Vryheid parkrun was officially part of the countrywide ‘One in a Million’ event on Saturday, having hit a million unique participants in South Africa. Vryheid also officially launched their pink volunteer bibs for the first time during this special event. The volunteers were overjoyed and proud to be able to wear the new kit that now aligns them with parkrun volunteers across the world. No matter where their barcodes take them, they can ‘think pink’ as parkrun volunteers!
Five personal best times were set on Saturday: Colin, Carmen, Andre, Lizelle and Sebastian – you are one in a million. The first-timers were Nkosinathi, Thembelihle, Keneiloe and Sister Thecla. “You are all one in a million too and we would just like to say welcome.”
