Cyclists hit Bloemveld Dam for moonlight ride

The Vryheid mountain biking team took a lovely night ride on Saturday evening from Bloemveld Dam, celebrating the full moon.

The club thanks Theo Scheepers for the initiative and everyone who participated so enthusiastically.

“There are 12 full moons per year, we should do this more often!”

The riders started at 6:30pm from the dam and the cycled around Grootgewacht Dam on a 20 kilometer route.

“There were around 50 bikes in the ‘peleton’, from young high school cyclists to the hardebaard-manne the OBC.

We all loved it”.

The evening ended with a braai at the clubhouse facilities at Bloemveld Dam.
