A big year of bowls for Philip Scheepers

Members of Vryheid Bowling club took part in the finals of the Handicap Singles last Wednesday, which was followed by a prize-giving ceremony.

Philip Scheepers won the Men’s Single title, while Mathias Buthelezi was the Handicap Men’s winner.

Alta de Kock and Cornel van wyk took home the trophy in the Ladies’ Pairs competition, with John Cross and Margaret van Heusden claiming victory in the Mixed Pairs division.

Mathias Buthelezi and Alta de Kock also took part in the Pro 10 competition and won, followed up by a win for both at the district competition.

Philip Scheepers had a year of monumental achievements in 2019, winning the Singles Pairs, Mixed pairs and being part of the winning Fours.
