Full story: Burning truck on N3

ER24's medical team were on scene and treated the accident victims for minor injuries

Two trucks were involved in a collision in the early parts of this morning (Wednesday).

It is believed that the accident was a rear-end collision, causing the truck that was rear-ended to swerve, veer off the road and overturn. It then caught alight.

The Ladysmith Fire Department responded and extinguished the fire. ER24’s medical team were on scene and treated the accident victims for minor injuries.

After the fire had been put out, N3TC officers helped to oversee traffic flow. Traffic had backed up.

RTI and Fire Department officials stayed on scene, waiting for the truck to cool down so that the dismantling and towing process could begin.

Update: The southbound lanes are open, and one northbound lane is open.
