Water supply to be restored… For now
With Klipfontein currently at an estimated 25% of capacity, investigations are currently underway into the practicality of this intended plan being carried out and the ramifications thereof.

The water supply to Vryheid will be restored temporarily for the upcoming long weekends.
This was the decision reached at a water crisis meeting earlier today, according to AfriForum Vryheid Chairman, André Van Der Walt, who has been attending the weekly meetings on a regular basis.
It was decided that, from today until next Tuesday, the amount of water pumped will be increased to 12 megalitres per day, after which it will drop to 4 megalitres per day, until the following long weekend, when it will be restored to 12 megalitres again.
“This will mean that everyone should have access to running water for these time periods,” explained Van Der Walt.
With Klipfontein currently at an estimated 25% of capacity, investigations are currently underway into the practicality of this intended plan being carried out and the long term ramifications thereof.
“This will be a last grant to us,” added Van Der Walt somewhat ominously. “As soon as all the Jojo tanks are in place, there will be a complete shutdown. It all depends on the municipality now…”
