Magda Viktor, a community leader and the person who placed photos of the dog on social media says she has always been an animal lover and that one of her own dogs was the key to her recovery when she became very ill.

“When I saw what happened at the SPCA, I felt dead. I was so disappointed and so hurt. I couldn’t believe anybody could do something like that. I would definitely not have killed the animal. I would have driven all the way to Newcastle if it came to that. The SPCA is also supposed to cover the grave of every animal. However, it is not the death of this one animal that led me to the point where I felt I had to expose the SPCA. It was just the last incident that drove me to say now that’s enough. Can you imagine how much must have happened before someone would seek for someone to listen to this story?” said Mrs Viktor, before refusing to elaborate further.
