Superwoman, Frances adds another victory to her name

Frances finished seventh overall among the male competitors

Frances Janse van Rensburg has come full circle.
A year ago, she started her road race career at the Drakensberg Extravaganza road race in Bergville, which led to her inclusion in the 2019 UCI Road World Championships in England earlier this year.
Then at the weekend, she took the women’s crown in the very same race she began at.
Frances finished seventh overall among the male competitors, and the Vryheid Mountain Biking Club is in awe of this phenomenal young cyclist.
“Well done, young lady, on finishing your junior career in style.”
On Saturday evening, there was a full moon behind the clouds, which led to another night ride by the Vryheid mountain cyclists.
They spent a wonderful evening out in the plantations on the single tracks.
After literally trying to outride the approaching storm conditions, the cyclists then ended the evening with a special braai at the Bloemveld Boating Club.
“Thank you to all who joined us and to Ronel Delport for the great pictures.”

Vryheid Mountain Biking Club wraps up the year and reflects on its success.
