Annual Jalsa and graduation

Al Haaj Muhammad Owais Raza Qaadiri held the crowd spellbound with his lilting and melodious voice

The 17th Annual Jalsa and Graduation ceremony hosted by the Darul Uloom Qadria Ghareeb Nawaaz drew hundreds from as far as Botswana, Zambia, Zimbabwe, Mozambique and Malawi. The programme started on Friday night with leading naath reciter Al Haaj Muhammad Owais Raza Qaadiri holding the crowd spellbound with his lilting and melodious voice as he rendered his most famous naaths (poetry). Saturday saw the evening spill well over into the wee hours of the morning with more naaths and lectures. Moulana Mohammed Arshad Qaadiri then delivered a thought-provoking address. Sunday was a mixed bag of divine messages, naaths and the graduation of the students. The ceremony was the highlight on the Darul Uloom’s academic calendar.
