The suspects are set to appear in the Ladysmith Magistrate's Court on charges of housebreaking and theft

Besters Detective Services recently made a breakthrough in a housebreaking case. The crime took place in September at a school in the Watersmeet area of Besters. 18 sewing machines, valued at about R1500 each, were stolen.
Police have been following up on leads and two scholars (aged 18 and 19) have been arrested in Besters for the crime. Police also recovered five of the stolen sewing machines at different places in Steadville, Ezakheni and Ladysmith.
The machines had been sold to private individuals. The search for the other sewing machines continues and more are expected to be recovered soon. The suspects are set to appear in the Ladysmith Magistrate’s Court on charges of housebreaking and theft.
