Breakwaters comes in guns blazing

The defending League champions conquered all during NFWAA's League 2 earlier in the month.

Still smarting from a third place finish during League 2, defending Natal Freshwater Angling Association League champions, Breakwaters at League 3 showed their mettle at League 3 on October 20.

The day was characterised by some poor catches, and after three rounds of competition, most anglers have failed to register a single point to kick-start their campaign. Points racked up during the day were a clear indication of the fish becoming elusive, although Breakwaters finished in top position with 30 points, ahead of Challengers on 17 points and Freespool on 13.

The current log positions after League 3 have Breakwaters first on 50 points, Challengers second on 47 and Itec Freespool third on 43. Wrapping up the rest of the log are Docrat’s on 36, Riverside on 31, Stillwaters on 28, Dannhauser on 19 Glencoe on 14 and Chelmsford on 6.

The next round of competition is the Knock Out Round One at Sandford on November 17. Perhaps the most interesting duel will be between Breakwaters and Freespool, while other pairings are Chelmsford versus Glencoe, Dannhauser versus Challengers, Riverside versus Docrat’s. Stillwaters has a bye for the second round of angling competition.
