Madam – I have mastered the art of being parked at the wrong place at the wrong time.
Twice in one month my car has been the victim of hit and drives. How can one person be this unlucky…I would also like to know. The first time was at the parking lot of the J & B Centre; a white lady (or rather woman as this type of behaviour cannot be lady-like) with a white bakkie.
Again on Monday, 11 November at about 5pm parked in front of Harcourts Estate Agents; a white Bantam-type bakkie being driven by a white elderly man (or so a witness claims).
While this one had the decency to leave me a phone number that does not work. All I would like to know is, what is going on with the people of this town? Is there no more human decency?
To these two people and their happy families, when you are enjoying your Christmas feast and presents this year, my family will have to go without as I will be saving to pay for a panel beater to fix my car.
My car might be old, but when it is all you have, it is worth more than gold. To those few people (some even strangers) who tried to help, I will be forever grateful. To those who looked away…afraid to get involved, this might happen to you one day…But for now I will be persistent in looking to try and find YOU.
Double Hit and Drive
