Marlins give back to those in need

The club raised money to give back to the community and chose Victory Haven and Child Welfare as the recipients

The Ladysmith Marlins Swimming Club gave a donation to Victory Haven and Child Welfare on Saturday at the Town Pool.

The club raised money to give back to the community and chose Victory Haven and Child Welfare as the recipients. There to collect the donation were Shanthi Maharaj from Victory Haven and Rene Anthony from Child Welfare.

The November Age Group Gala was held at the Town Pool on Saturday morning and the donation was handed over in the spirit of goodwill before the gala started. Taking part in the gala were swimmers from Ladysmith, Vryheid, Newcastle and Dundee. The swimmers were all aiming to improve their personal best times in order to qualify for South African level.
