Umhlabelo stars bag two awards

The cast of local movie Umhlabelo, which was directed and produced by Sandile Shange were invited to the Ethekwini Local Films Awards in Durban where co-stars Sindy Mjiyakho and Mlungisi Zulu bagged two awards.

Umhlabelo was filmed in Vryheid by Sandile Shange and he did not hesitate to look within his community for the talent that would make his film a great success.

Sindy won the award for best actress for her role of Thembi and Mlungisi took home the award for The Best Supporting actor for his role as Sporo.

Sandile says that he would like to thank his cast for being co-operative and working very hard.
