97% think council botched hailstorm repairs saga
97% of those who voted identified with the following statement: "No, they have not, they should all resign!"

Of all the people who took the time to vote on the Ladysmith Gazette website, 97% feel that council has botched the handling of storm damage repairs.
When asked “Have senior officials handled the hailstorm damage saga well?”, 97% of those who voted identified with the following statement: “No, they have not, they should all resign!”
This is a truly damning indictment on Ladysmith’s ANC-dominated administration, especially in an election year. The remaining three per cent stressed that they did not care. Not a single voter felt council had handled the storm damage well.
The hailstorm on December 9, 2012, damaged many homes in Ladysmith, many of which have not been repaired to date.
Council received close to R100 million to carry out said repairs.
