The excitement was hyped, the air thick with jovialness, tension and anxiety as the 2013 Matric Class of ML Sultan received their results on January 7.
It was a remarkable day due to the release of results: bystanders were met with the wondrous sight of pavements in the vicinity of the Glencoe school filled with elated learners.
Celebrations began, and this is due to ML Sultan’s class of 2013 receiving a 96,4 % pass rate.
According Princpal B Khan, “This is a great increase in the Matric results, from 86% in 2012 to an impressive 96,4%!”
The flurry of excitement carried on as the 85 matriculants of ML Sultan made their way to the school to receive their statements of results. Here top achievers are commended for their mammoth achievements.
The top achievers are Magdalene Jade Moodley, with six distinctions in Afrikaans, English, Business Studies, Life Orientation, Geography and Tourism; Rashmita Govender, with five distinctions in English, Life Orientation, Business Studies, Tourism and Mathematical Literacy; and Londiwe Ndlovu, who received distinctions in Life Orientation, IsiZulu and Geography.
Mr Khan expresses his heartiest congratulations to the Matric Class of 2013.
With the 96,4% pass rate the future for prospective matriculants looks promising as they are brought one step closer to becoming the successful lawyers, doctors and leaders of tomorrow.
