Nevaan passes with utter distinction

He aspires to be a chartered accountant one day.

Nevaan Badhai dreams of qualifying as a chartered accountant in four years’ time.

With seven distinctions from his matric year at Lincoln Heights Secondary School, he is well on his way to studying for a BCom in Accounting Science.

“I am very proud of my results. I put in the work and my teachers also worked hard for this.”

Nevaan achieved his distinctions in Mathematics, Afrikaans first additional language, Life Orientation, Life Sciences, Accounting, Physical Science and Mathematics third paper.

He has since been accepted to study at the University of Pretoria.

Asked for his advice for upcoming matriculants and pupils in general, Nevaan said “You have to start early and put the effort in.”

Lincoln Heights Secondary has four nominees for its top pupil, two with seven distinctions and two with six, and has earned itself a 91 per cent matric pass rate.

54 per cent of these pupils have qualified to study towards a Bachelors degree.
