Cycling gets into gear

The Endumeni Cycling Club received a boost with the donation of 23 bikes by the Department of Sport and Culture. Vusi ensured the bikes went to kids who had already shown an interest in cycling, or had old bikes that were using.

This is the vision of athlete Vusi Sibisi, who has tapped into the growing interest in cycling among local children to form a club.
The Endumeni Cycling Club received a boost with the donation of 23 bikes by the Department of Sport and Culture. Vusi ensured the bikes went to kids who had already shown an interest in cycling, or had old bikes that were using.
“We now have about 28 children in the club, and we have the support of local Councillor Bheki Ngobese, who has assisted greatly. We are looking for attire such as riding gear, knee guards, helmets, et cetera.”
Vusi said that a track to be used has been identified through the municipality. Anyone interested in assisting can contact Vusi on 072 128 0737.
