Tears and vacant stares intermingled with sounds of laughter and joy as Egerton, Monument, ML Sultan, Aloe Park, Andante, Acaciavale and Hamilton all welcomed new pupils into the fold.
While the older children seemed to fit in without any trauma, many scenes to tug at the heartstrings were on display as the grade Rs and younger kids had their first taste of ‘big school’ and saying goodbye to mom or dad.
