The Phelophepa Health Train has returned to Newcastle to help provide necessary medical assistance to the local community for the next two weeks.

The Phelophepa train consists of six main on-board medical services: Health clinic, Pharmacy, EduClinic, Dental Clinic, Eye Clinic, and Psychology Clinic.  It conducts screenings for cancer, diabetes, and hypertension, with pap smears for women and prostate checks for men.

The Eye Clinic offers same-day service to its patients providing prescription spectacles within a few hours.

The Dental Clinic focuses on oral health, hygiene education, restorative procedures and extractions.

All medical assistance is provided at an affordable rate to the community.

The Phelophepa train will be stationed at the Newcastle train station till January 31, providing vital health care to our rural community.
