7 ‘A’s for Ndumiso

Ndumiso Xaba surprised many at Isolomuzi High School when he achieved distinctions in all 7 subjects that he was doing in matric.

Ndumiso says that he is very happy with his great marks, but regrets having not taken Maths Paper three as he is convinced he would have achieved an ‘A’ in that subject too.

This young man, who says that he has always had a huge love for playing soccer, says that he had started to consider a career as a soccer star. This changed when he attended a South African Actuaries Development Programme last year and he instantly knew that Actuarial Science was what he wanted to study.

This young man who grew up in Emondlo, says that forming study groups, attending extra classes and watching TV shows such as Matrics Reloaded contributed a lot towards his great marks.

He applied for admission at the University of the Witwatersrand to study Actuarial Science and has been accepted.

Ndumiso is asking local businesses or community members for financial assistance in order to further his studies at the University of the Witwatersrand.
