Inter-house gala at LHS
The swimmers did their best in various races to score points for their respective 'houses'
Ladysmith High School (LHS) held its annual inter-house gala on Thursday evening at the Town Pool.
The swimmers did their best in various races to score points for their respective ‘houses’, all the while being cheered on by the pupils who looked on from the stands. Some of the spectators went so far as to paint their bodies in their house colours (blue or yellow).
Parents and friends were also there to show their support as the swimmers raced across the pool in their efforts to finish in the top placings. Songs were sung by the spectators at the top of their lungs while the swimmers sliced their way through the water, making for a festive and exciting atmosphere.
Well done to all those who won their races and did well at the gala!
