THIS past weekend, a rugby camp was held at Thangami Safari Spa.
The main aim of this camp was team building, strengthening relationships between the rugby players and defining who and what the team is all about this year.
A strong focus was on developing an understanding for the ethos of a team in order to become truly successful and developing an understanding of our team's systems and requirements, both individually and as a group.
The camp was designed in such a way that it involved a tough obstacle course inspired by army drills and Survivor, requiring efficient teamwork, with a braai afterwards.
Despite the toughness of the obstacle course and many tired men, positivity was the end result and we are extremely excited about what this experience will bring out in the players.
We would like to thank the club committee members, especially Pieter Oosthuizen and Thomas Harding, for helping with the process of putting together this amazing experience.
We would also like to thank everybody at Thangami for accommodation and use of the facilities and we can quite safely say that it is a place worth visiting. Thanks also go out to Willie Birkenstock for music and entertainment, Cash 'n Carry Liquors, Natalia and Eddy's butcheries for food and entertainment.
