Get ready for the best Shavathon yet
Bigger better Shavathon - do not miss out on March 1.

Though ‘bigger and better’ may be a cliché, this year’s CANSA Shavathon promises to live up to the billing.
This year’s event will be hosted at the Battle Creek Spur in conjunction with the Courier and the Guinea Fowl Coffee Shop.
Once again people can either shave or spray, and some of the more adventurous types can try the colour gels.
Ponytails can also be donated to the cause. To donate a ponytail, hair must be at least 22cm in length, and must be clean and dry.
Ponytail donations received by CANSA are handmade into wigs for cancer patients who have lost their hair as a result of their cancer treatment.
With entertainment provided at the Spur and food for sale as well, residents of Dundee are encouraged to support the initiative.
Estella Naicker, the new CANSA Community Mobiliser, also expressed her excitement at the upcoming Shavathon, which promises to raise more funds than previous years.
Lucky draws
There will be lucky draw prizes to be won, and plans are underway for a mini ‘jail-and-bail’ to be held at the event too.
The ‘jail-and-bail’ will add more fun to the atmosphere, as it involves prominent members of the town being imprisoned until friends, family or staff raise enough funds to bail them out.
The funds all go towards CANSA.
The Shavathon will be held at the Battle Creek Spur on March 1, starting at 9am.
So go bald or go bright – support the CANSA Shavathon.
