A young man was found dead this morning (Sunday), hanging on a transformer. The body of the 26-year-old male was found by a passerby early this morning. The body was found hanging from a transformer at the side of the road, next to AK’s OK Hyper in Andra Square.
Police say that no foul play is suspected at this point in time, although friends and family are unwilling to believe it is a suicide and social media is rife with allegations. The deceased has not yet been identified. Ladysmith police are investigating an inquest into the death.
UPDATE: The deceased has been identified as Sudhir Sathish Sewgolam, aged 25.
