TFS Wholesalers targeted in another robbery

This is not the first time TFS has suffered at the hands of armed robbers.

TFS Wholesalers was again robbed on the night of February 2.

It is believed that four men walked away with an undisclosed amount of money and goods. Damage caused to the property amounted to R300 000. It is alleged that the robbers entered the premises and assaulted the guard with a firearm before locking him up. He sustained head injuries. According to the Manager, Hassain Ismail the guard is recovering in hospital.

Robbers also took away the guard’s firearm, six rounds of ammunition, handcuffs and cellphone. Alarm cables had been cut.

Police are investigating and the suspects are still at large.

This is not the first time TFS has suffered at the hands of armed robbers.

In a similar incident last year, thieves blew up a safe using commercial explosives in the early hours of November 10, taking money from the safe.

In this incident airtime, cigarettes and firearms were stolen. The truck used to transport the suspects was later found abandoned near Wasbank.
