The Animal Anti-Cruelty League (AACL) is selling raffle tickets for a meat hamper. The draw will be held this Saturday, so be sure to get your tickets soon! You can buy tickets at R20 each from the AACL or Ladysmith Gazette offices.
A litter of six puppies were born on Valentine’s Day at the kennels. There are four light-brown and two black puppies who will need good homes in six weeks’ time. The parents are Spaniel crossbreeds, so these little pups will grow into medium-sized dogs. These Valentine’s babies are sure to bring some love into your life if you decide to take them home with you.
The league would like the public’s help in finding three lost dogs. A brown male crossbreed went missing on the D45 dirt road off the N11 on Saturday. A male Boerboel cross also went missing on Saturday in the Rose Park area. Rascal is a white male Bull Terrier who went missing in the Hillview area near AK’s. If you have any information regarding the whereabouts of these animals, please contact the AACL on 076-151-1784.
