Cecil Emmett is a mess

THOSE who were hoping to hold events at Cecil Emmett Hall last week were in for a nasty surprise.

The area around the hall was left in a completely flyblown condition after the ZDM Mayor Zanele KaMagwaza Msibi held an event there on Tuesday.

It seems that food was dished out to community members at the end of the event and that many did not bother using any of the rubbish bins provided around the hall.

It is already bad enough that municipal workers are on strike and the town has suffered dreadfully as a result, but to see that some community members cannot take heed to the ancient “do not litter” rule is really pitiful.
