AN UNIDENTIFIED male was murdered at the corner of Heeren Street and Stretch Crescent on Saturday night.
Paramedics took the young man, who is said to have been in his early twenties, to Vryheid Hospital as he was found with a stab wound on his chest.
It is alleged that he passed away in the ambulance as he was being transported to hospital.
No arrests have yet been made and investigations into the matter are still underway.
The SAPS requests that community members who may know the victim or his family come forward as his body is currently lying in a mortuary and has yet not been identified.
