Swimming star Brad Tandy jets into Ladysmith
The champs are also the trials for team selection to the Commonwealth Games

It was a pleasant surprise when Brad Tandy joined his old swimming squad at the Town Pool on Friday.
He had just landed from America and needed a swim so he could clear his body of jet lag before leaving for Durban the next day. The local swimmers enjoyed talking to him, and asked him about his achievements and plans for the future.
Brad was on his way to Durban to take part in the SSA Senior Nationals Swimming Championships. The champs are also the trials for team selection to the Commonwealth Games. The games will take place later in the year. Brad hopes to be selected for his favourite stroke, the crawl. The swimmers from Ivan and Denise Ball’s squad wish him well and will be closely following his progress.
