Police investigate attempted murder case

Dannhauser Police are investigating a case of attempted murder after a taxi owner was critically injured in a shooting. The victim, a Mr Mpofu, was travelling on the Springboklaagte road on the evening of April 6 with a male passenger, whose name is being withheld for his safety, when they noticed they were being followed by another vehicle.
When the unidentified vehicle overtook them, the occupants opened fire. Mr Mpofu suffered injuries to his head and right leg.
He was rushed to hospital in a critical condition.
